'48 Plymouth and Bob Beck's Bob's Memories at Sock Hop

Since Bob's opened 60 years ago, cars have been part of the magic at the restaurant! Bob Beck has part of the car culture at Bob's and a lifelong auto enthusiast and race announcer (more about Bob at http://bob-beck-motorsportsannouncing.com).

At our Sock Hop celebration on Thursday, Bob Beck will be showcasing an amazing car, his '48 Plymouth Coupe!

He said, "I hot-rodded this car in 1984. It has a V8, Auto trans. Two owner car. It was my everyday car for many years."

Bob has a wonderful Bob's Big Boy story, telling us, "My Father in-law worked for the company that did the plumbing at the Bob's Big Boy during the construction (Carlson Plumbing). He later (1973-on) was the plumber that serviced the restaurant until he retired about 10 years ago (Bill Gorgen Plumbing). I have been cruising the restaurant since the 60's and my wife was a car hop there in the '70's."

Thank you, Bob Beck for bringing this wonderful car to our party!

That car is magnificent!
